The consolidation of quantum networking requires addressing two fundamental aspects: the integration with classical networks and the validation of suitable service models. Experimentation on these aspects implies going beyond current simulation approaches, with the use of emulated and hybrid environments that allow for exploring the interaction with classical network elements and considering the scale required for service evaluation. We will introduce the evolution and status of the Quditto emulation environment, focused on enabling quantum network service experimentation at scale.es
